What: A 19+ component dinner, without plates or silverware—everything is served on banana leaf and part of the experience includes eating with your hands—Kamayan style. You'll leave with a baon—a specially designed box—to take home your favorite items from the table.

We're throwing a farm dinner party with our friends at Allandale Farm! We both love local food, fun times, urban farms, music, craft beer, lawn games and our friends and neighbors, so we're putting it all together on October 15th from 5pm - 8pm. Bring your friends and family for a multi-course picnic menu designed by James Beard-nominated chef Irene Li featuring lots of Allandale-grown produce. Do you want to meet this adorable corgi named Gumbo? Stop by our parklet (the tiny city park outside the Mei Mei restaurant) on Sunday, July 20th from 3-4 p.m. at Mei Mei.

Our friends from Short Grain, the badass food truck from Charleston SC, are coming to Mei Mei for a June 29th popup!
We first met when Irene and Shuai were both named Eater Young Guns last year and we cooked together at the James Beard Foundation in January! Now they're bringing their untraditional Japanese to #Boston - think 'Nashville Hot' karaage and a tater tot waffle tartare. Wowza!
Door are open 6pm-10pm, menu items from Short Grain and themed cocktails from Mei Mei will be available for counter service. Some dishes will only be available in limited quantities, so come early to make sure you get your pick!
