I’ve been a Mei Mei groupie since the early days of their food truck and over the years have had them cater many personal and work events, including a dinner at WBUR with Mark Bittman. So of course I wanted to have Mei Mei for my wedding! They created my dream menu of delicious tacos with salsas and guacamole. When it torrentially rained, they didn’t skip a beat and switched from food truck service to family style platters inside for over 200 people at Night Shift Brewing. Not only are they the friendliest, most professional team, but their attention to detail - like having a sundae-style buffet of candy and nut toppings for our cannoli - always surprises and delights. The commitment to local, sustainable ingredients paired with passion for Asian flavors and constant creativity in the kitchen is a recipe for my absolute favorite restaurant and caterer. All our wedding guests raved about the food - especially the vegetarian squash taco that stole the show - and I was so proud to serve Mei Mei to all our family and friends at the most important party of my life!

Just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful food and service at [the] wedding last weekend. All the guests had great things to say about your food…and we also loved that first salad. Thank you so much, and we will spread the word about your truck and your food!
— Virginia, Mother of the Bride
Thanks so much! We loved having you and it seems you were everyone’s favorite…. We will definitely come visit in Boston!

You catered my sons wedding last night, and I just wanted to say what a fantastic job you did. Your staff were extremely pleasant and made the experience so much more wonderful. Everyone raved about the food and I absolutely loved the Kale salad! Thank you and I will recommend your company any day… I was hesitant at first on having a food truck- But their food was amazing, and by far the best of any catered event I have attended in the past- I would recommend this to anyone that wants to hire a caterer.

Thank you SO MUCH! You guys absolutely killed it at our wedding! All of our guests were raving about your food. I don’t think any of them realized that they could eat so well at a wedding. And I would like to especially thank you for accomodating our gluten-free guests on the fly, that was wonderful of you. PS – the leftovers were perfect for our after-after party!!!
— Jay, Groom
You guys were fantastic and the food was so delicious. Even the handful of people who had given us funny looks and said “Seriously? A food TRUCK?” were won over, big time. Thank you so much for everything. And thanks for the leftovers! We’ve been feasting like kings!

As my fiance and I were beginning to prepare our marriage celebration party (we got married at city hall and wanted to plan a “reception” of sorts with friends and family) we knew that we wanted to stray from tradition…”Let’s get a food truck” started as a joke but we quickly realized that with the recent resurgence of food trucks, the possibility and quality were there. So we attended a food truck festival in Boston and fell in love with Mei Mei Street Kitchen. Chinese pulled pork sliders, poached eggs on scallion pancakes with VT cheddar and homemade pesto!? Sold! They were still a very new operation at the time but they easily won first a place prize that day. We had to have her for our party! Mei is the nicest sweetest person and was happy and excited to work with us for our party in October even though they hadn’t worked any weddings yet. The person in charge of our venue was initially somewhat skeptical when she heard the words “food truck” as she expected us to go the traditional catering route and had not heard of this before. She requested that the truck come to the venue to see how it would all work and once Mei and her brother showed up, between their charm and professionalism (they had all of the necessary paperwork ready) it was smooth sailing. The price was very reasonable and we got started working together on a menu. Even with about 100 guests the line moved very quickly and the side dishes were placed on a table next to the truck. Everything was amazing and all of our guests raved about the food and the format. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
