Abortion is Healthcare

Abortion is healthcare.

With the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we know more people than ever will be left vulnerable and without access to necessary healthcare. Many people have an abortion. Abortion is healthcare.

Mei Mei Dumplings will be donating $1,000 across the following organizations crowdsourced from our staff.

National Network of Abortion Funds

The National Network of Abortion Funds builds power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.

Abortion Care Network

Founded in 2008, Abortion Care Network (ACN) is the national association for independent community-based, abortion care providers and their allies.

Independent abortion providers care for the majority of people seeking abortion in the U.S. – often serving individuals and families with the fewest resources and in the most rural parts of our nation.

Arkansas Abortion Support Network

Arkansas Abortion Support Network (AASN) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to reduce barriers to abortion access in Arkansas. After the Dobbs vs Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, the AASN is still hard at work. They are directing their resources to get those who need an abortion to clinics out of state, where abortion is still legal.

Missouri Abortion Fund

The Missouri Abortion Fund provides public education and support for people needing reproductive health services, primarily by providing financial assistance to Missouri residents who cannot afford the full cost of abortion care.

MoAF works directly with clinics on behalf of the people they serve. When a clinic sees a patient who needs assistance, MoAF is a potential funding source for a portion of the cost.

The Lilith Fund

The Lilith Fund provides financial assistance and emotional support while building community spaces for people who need abortions in Texas—unapologetically, with compassion and conviction. Through organizing and movement-building, we foster a positive culture around abortion, strengthen people power, and fight for reproductive justice in and with our communities.
