As we at Mei Mei have grown, catering, and specifically wedding catering has evolved to become a special part of our business.

However, unless you’ve been lucky enough to already attend a Mei Mei wedding we’re guessing you might have a couple questions about what that process actually looks like.

First step, find the love of your life and ask them to marry you.

Second step, choose Mei Mei as your caterer and the fun really starts.

Once you’ve chosen to get married with Mei Mei we’ll set up a time for you to come into the restaurant for a menu tasting and consultation with our staff to talk you through the variety of services we offer. Your menu can include any of the classic Mei Mei dishes you already know and love from the restaurant and we can even do a variety of new custom creations just for your wedding. Pork belly scallion pancake sandwiches anyone? Maybe a braised copicut farms chicken curry? All possible when you get married with Mei Mei. As a restaurant with a focus on accessibility we pride ourselves on ensuring that all guests at any wedding Mei Mei caters can happily eat and we’ve worked with many clients to find creative solutions for various dietary restrictions and food allergies.

Weddings themselves can take many forms and at Mei Mei we’ve worked hard to provide an array of options at different price points for whichever type of a wedding celebration you’re planning. Want to have a delicious buffet for your post wedding dance party that you’re hosting at the local community center? We can do that. Want to have to have a fully staffed wedding at the Decordova museum with passed appetizers, a custom menu and a bar? With some help from our friends at the Beer Mobile (owned and operated by Irene’s brother Andy) we can also do that. Whether it’s at Warehouse IV in Somerville, the Mass Audubon's beautiful Habitat Sanctuary in Belmont, or the Wright-Lock Farm in Winchester we have worked with a large selection of unique venues in both Massachusetts and beyond. We’ve even hosted ceremonies in the restaurant itself after inclement weather forced a last minute change of plans. Whichever of the numerous different version of getting married with Mei Mei you ultimately choose we always love getting to be a part of the party.
